We plan to organise three international summer schools in 2022 and 2023. They will be based on experiential learning – the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience, comprising classroom lectures and site visits. There will be lectures given prior to the site visits to give students the context of the theme and set the parameters.
July 2022: Summer school in The Hague, NL
The output of this summer school is an online magazine, which you can view here.
May 2023: Summer school in Pilsen, CZ
October 2023: Summer school in Nitra, SK
=> 5 days full of activities, 2 days for travelling (yes, we will be travelling green! That means either by train, bus or a van)
=> 22 participants: 15 students, 7 accompanying persons and coordinators
During the program, the participants receive an assignment that is to be finished by the end of the week. The week itself will provide the participants with the data they need to complete the assignment which can take the form of an advisory report or a specific product such as a training session, informative campaign, a video, etc.
The mentor of this activity is anthropologist Ruben Boers from THUAS. Feel free to contact him for more information via firstname.lastname@example.org.
