Our course on inclusion is primarily designed for university counselling and teaching staff, but is also open to other professionals who are interested in professional development. Students are also encouraged to participate, especially students in pedagogical or education studies.
The course that is being developed involves student and community input. In addition, it uses storytelling and story sharing to build relations, create new stories, and explore the deep impact of truly inclusive environments, and all they entail.
Participants of the course are expected to become the “inclusion facilitators”. They will be able to address inclusivity issues, and implement learned techniques and strategies, in order to effectively contribute to inclusive learning environments.
We plan to run a pilot online course between January and June 2023.
